Resilience Strategies Group
Join Optum onsite EAP counselor Dr. Bob Talbot for a monthly interactive group to learn and practice various resilience strategies. A resilience strategy is any method that helps us bounce back from adversity, reduce stress, and improve our overall wellbeing and happiness. Each session will begin with learning a new strategy and then putting it into practice, followed by an interactive discussion about participants’ personal journeys in maintaining resilience in a time of change and challenge.

Dr. Bob will explore well known strategies like mindfulness meditation, cognitive reappraisal, breathwork, and body scans; he will also introduce and explain other helpful ideas like the use of visualization, Emotional Freedom Technique, dynamic spin technique, and thought disruption techniques used in Acceptance Commitment Therapy.
